SPN Pediatric Fellowship Course
The Society of Pediatric Nurses (SPN) introduces the Pediatric Fellowship Course, 2nd Edition (2024). This self-paced online course of 19 modules, offers up to 10.00 nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) contact hours. This course supports nurses transitioning from adult health nursing to the pediatric specialty through education focused on topics that are critical to our unique specialty. This course is designed with limited audio and video, to allow viewing at any location. It is accompanied by a workbook to provide a fully interactive learning experience.
SPN recognizes that experienced nurses are competent in routine components of nursing care such as documentation, time management, and critical thinking, and as a result, this course focuses on the pediatric-specific knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are needed for success and provides a focus on the following topics:
