Join two pediatric SANE nurses for a deep dive into how to become a SANE nurse, what SANE nurses really do, and the expectations/limitations of a sexual assault exam and forensic evidence collection. We will also define vicarious trauma, take a look at how it affects caregivers, and discuss ways you can protect yourself from the consequences of working with traumatized victims.
