Revealing the Unarticulated Needs of Parents of Children with Medical Complexity and How Nurses Can Help

Includes a Live Web Event on 06/23/2026 at 1:00 PM (EDT)

Presenter: Chrissy Salley, PhD

Parents of children with medical complexity may not voice their most pressing needs, leaving nurses without a complete picture of how to provide holistic, family-centered care. This webinar will explore the unarticulated emotional, practical, and informational challenges these families face and how nursing practice can bridge those gaps. Through real-world perspectives, attendees will gain insight into anticipating family needs, strengthening relationships, and providing care. Join us to deepen your understanding of this vulnerable population and elevate the care you provide for both patients and their families.

Outcome: 85% of the participants will identify at least 2 new strategies to proactively address the unarticulated needs of parents of children with medical complexity in clinical practice based on the knowledge gained from the webinar

Continuing Education:  Society of Pediatric Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation
