Join SPN for an engaging webinar focused on education for families caring for children with tracheostomies. Grounded in findings from a scoping review of 11 U.S. studies, this session will explore how simulation-based education can help family caregivers build confidence in routine tracheostomy care and prepare for rare but life-threatening emergencies at home. Participants will explore common curriculum elements, current approaches to evaluating caregiver outcomes, and critical gaps related to objective competency assessment. Pediatric nurses will leave with practical strategies to design, evaluate, or enhance simulation programs that support safer, inclusive, and sustainable care transitions. Register today to learn how evidence-informed simulation can better prepare families for care beyond the hospital.

Outcome:

85% of participants will report learning at least two new evidence-informed strategies, such as structured debriefing, objective competency assessment, or accessible education design, to strengthen a pediatric tracheostomy caregiver simulation program'

Continuing Education:  Society of Pediatric Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation
