Objectives

  • Identify age-specific injury prevention strategies for children.
  • Identify injury prevention strategies for children in the hospital and home.
  • List resources to obtain more information on injury prevention in children.

Outcome: 85% of the participants will have a foundational knowledge of pediatric nursing care, as evidenced by passing the post-test for each module.

Continuing education: Society of Pediatric Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation 

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 16532.

Contact Hour: 0.5 NCPD Contact Hour will be awarded for successful completion of this module and its related components.
