Objectives
• Describe the nurse’s role in caring for children with chronic illnesses and supporting their families
• Understand and recognize common gastrointestinal disorders in pediatrics and describe their management
• Understand and recognize common neurological conditions in pediatrics and describe their management
• Discuss common congenital and genetic disorders of childhood and describe their management.

Outcome: 85% of the participants will have a foundational knowledge of pediatric nursing care, as evidenced by passing the post-test for each module.
Continuing education: Society of Pediatric Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 16532.
