SPN Human Trafficking Workshop
Presenters: Jason Spees, PhD, MaOM, APRN, L.Ac., FNP-C, Dipl. Ac. & C.H. and Jennifer L. Livingston, MNSc, APRN, CPNP-PC, SANE-P
This 4-hour workshop is designed to deepen participants' understanding of human trafficking, including its signs, impacts, and the roles nurses and organizations can play in prevention and response. Through expert-led lectures, simulation and modeling exercises, and a 1-hr survivor-led panel, attendees will be equipped with practical tools and a sense of purpose in combating human trafficking.
This event is scheduled from 9am to 1:15 p.m. Central Time.
Outcome: 85% of the participants will self-report having gained new knowledge and strategies regarding human trafficking based on the information provided in the workshop.
Continuing Education: Society of Pediatric Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 16532.
